Jasper Salazar is a digital illustrator from the Philippines whose work is known for its softness, warmth, and emotional clarity.
His ability to translate feeling into visual storytelling allows characters and environments to feel both magical and grounded—an important balance in children’s books.
With a style that emphasizes gentle color palettes, expressive details, and inviting worlds, Jasper creates illustrations that are easy for children to connect with while still carrying depth and intention.
His work continues to resonate with families and young readers, helping stories come to life in a way that feels both memorable and meaningful.

When creating a children’s book, the story is only half of the magic.
The other half is what brings that story to life visually—and for Eggwish, that came through the work of illustrator Jasper Salazar.
Eggwish is a children’s Easter book written by Marissa Molina, creator of Imagination Reality, and from the very beginning, the vision was clear: this story needed to feel warm, whimsical, and emotionally inviting for children and families.
The world of Easter Hollow wasn’t just meant to be described, it was meant to be felt.

In Eggwish, readers are introduced to a gentle, magical world filled with meaning, growth, and imagination. From the soft pathways of Easter Hollow to the heartfelt presence of Everhop, every detail was intentionally designed to create a sense of comfort and wonder.
As the author of Eggwish, I wanted children to step into a world that felt safe, magical, and reflective of who they are becoming.
That vision came to life through illustration.
Working with illustrator Jasper Salazar, we were able to translate the emotional heart of Eggwish into visuals that children can instantly connect with—soft textures, warm tones, and expressive characters that feel both magical and familiar.

Illustration in children’s books is more than just artwork, it is storytelling in its own form and communicates what doesn't need to be spoken. That is something Jasper truly understands.
For young readers especially, visuals are often the first way they understand a story. Before a child fully reads the words, they are already interpreting:
How a character feels
What kind of world they are in
Whether the story feels safe, exciting, or meaningful
In Eggwish, every color palette, character expression, and environmental detail was chosen with intention. The softness of the world reflects the emotional core of the story: becoming who you are meant to be.

One of the most important parts of creating Eggwish was designing Everhop, the heart of the story. Everhop isn’t just a character, he represents guidance, warmth, and belief. Eggwish illustrator Jasper Salazar took the rough sketches and truly gave life to Everhop.
The Easter Bunny is already one of the most recognizable symbols in childhood. So creating an original character within that space wasn’t about replacing something iconic, it was about honoring it while giving it deeper meaning.
From the very beginning, I created Eggwish with the intention of bringing Everhop to life, not just as a character on the page, but as a presence children could truly experience.
Everhop was never designed to simply be seen.
He was designed to be felt.
Every detail, from his presence to the way he interacts with the world of Easter Hollow, was created with intention, so children don’t just recognize him, but connect with him.
Because characters in children’s stories aren’t just visuals. They become companions. They become comfort. They become friends, role models, or someone they want to become. Characters and stories become part of how a child understands the world and themselves.
Through illustration, Everhop became more than words on a page. He became someone children can recognize, trust, and remember.
And that emotional connection is what transforms a children’s book from something read… into something one can experience.

From Imagination to Reality
One of the most meaningful parts of creating Eggwish was seeing an idea become something tangible.
During Easter week, we set up Eggwish Stations where children could create a wish of who they hoped to become. Watching that moment unfold—the thought, the intention, the excitement—was powerful. But what made it unforgettable was seeing the parents’ reactions. You could feel how much it meant to them hearing their children express those hopes out loud.
Through illustration, Jasper Salazar captured that very process, the journey of a wish, from a quiet feeling of hope to something real, something held, something seen.
It became something children can hold.Something families can share.Something that lives beyond the page.
Illustration made that possible.
It allowed Eggwish by Marissa Molina to become more than a story, it became a world within Imagination Reality.

Eggwish is a children’s Easter book by Marissa Molina, founder of Imagination Reality, a storytelling brand created to nurture, uplift, and empower children through imagination and meaningful experiences.
Through her books and original characters, Marissa creates worlds that children don’t just read about, but feel, remember, and carry with them as they grow.
